A book was recently dedacited to the world by ‘maia haag’ a co-founder and the well renowned author of the ‘I See Me! Inc’ publication company based in the US which has been assisting the development of children for the last two decades by bringing out this stirrings books. The celected 63 artists from across the world who have been doing realistic paintings have been included in this conducive book. The ideas of all the selected artists were also taken in to consideration while shaping this book. The sensual paintings of Shri Ashok Khant, famous local artist of Anand, mirroring India have also been included in this book “My Very Own World Adventure”.
Bhayavadar, a small town of Saurashtra region of Gujarat is the native town of renowned artist Mr. Ashok Khant, an artist who has been associated with the art world for the last four decades. He has settled in Vallabh Vidyanagar, after completing his art education from the Fine Arts Collage in 1978. He started his carrier as an independent artist.The portraits of freedom fighters made by Khant are exhibited.permanently in the Shyamaji Krushna Verma memorial of Gov. of Gujarat situated at Mandavi, Kutch. The numorous paintings of Sardar Patel made by him have received many accolades and applause. He has been felicitated by Shree Narendra Modi on the celebration of 58 independence Day of India held at Anand.

સિદ્ધિ તેને જઈ વરે જે પરસેવે નહાય
મૂળ સૌરાષ્ટ્રના ભાયાવદર ગામના વતની અને કલાના કદરદાન એટલે અશોક ખાંટ. બાળપણથી એમને ચિત્રો દોરવાનો શોખ અને એમનો આ શોખ એમને ચરોતરના ચોતરા સુધી દોરી લાવ્યો. ચરોતરની ગ્રામીણ સંસ્કૃતિ આધારિત એમણે ઘણા ચિત્રો દોર્યા. ખરી રીતે કહીએ તો એમણે જીવનના આનંદને ચિત્રોમાં દર્શાવ્યા. પોતાની સર્જનયાત્રા વિષે તેઓ જણાવે છે ‘ વ્યક્તિમાં કુદરતી રીતે જ કેટલાક ગુણો જન્મજાત હોય છે, વાતાવરણ અને પરિબળો તેના વિકાસમાં મહત્વનો ભાગ ભજવે છે.’
17મી અને 18મી સદીમાં રેમ્બ્રા, રુબેન્સ, લિયોનાર્દો-દ-વિન્ચી જેવા ખ્યાતનામ કલાકારો થઇ ગયા. એમના ચિત્રોથી અશોક ખાંટને પ્રેરણા મળી. આબેહુબ ચિત્રો દોરવામાં કલાકારની ખરી કસોટી થતી હોય છે. અથાગ સાધના વગર કોઈ કલાકાર શ્રેષ્ઠ સર્જન ન કરી શકે. ગુજરાતના પોર્ટ્રેટ કલાકાર સ્વ. હીરાલાલ ખત્રી તથા કનૈયાલાલ યાદવ ગણાતા. તેઓ આજે હયાત નથી, પરંતુ આ બંને કલાકારો તેમના પ્રેરણાસ્ત્રોત રહ્યા. જો કે અશોકભાઈના મહત્તમ ચિત્રો ગુજરાતના ગ્રામીણ જીવન પર આધારિત છે. એમનું દોરેલું કોઈ પણ ચિત્ર વાસ્તવિક હોય એવું લાગ્યા વિના ન રહે. વળી, ચિત્રોમાં દર્શાવેલા પાત્રોના હાવભાવ પણ કોઈપણ કલારસિકને આંજી દે તેવા હોય છે. તેઓ માને છે કે ગુજરાતનું ગ્રામ્યજીવન અને તેની સંસ્કૃતિ કલાત્મક અને ઉચ્ચ કક્ષાની છે. ખાસ કરીને ગુજરાતના અંતરિયાળ ગામડાઓમાં જઈને એમણે ખૂબ ચિત્રો દોર્યા છે. એમના ચિત્રોમાં અહીંના લોકોના પહેરવેશની અલગ અલગ રીતો, સામાજિક પુષ્ઠભૂમિ, અલંકારો, ખેતીના ઓજારો વિગેરેનું વાસ્તવદર્શી નિરૂપણ જોવા મળે છે. રણમાં જોવા મળતું ‘કારવા’નું દશ્ય તેમને આબેહુબ ચીતર્યું છે. તેમના માનવા મુજબ વાસ્તવિક શૈલીમાં કામ કરનાર લગભગ દરેક ચિત્રકારો ‘રેમ્બ્રા’ પર ફિદા હોય છે. કેમકે મહાન ચિત્રકારોમાંના એક એવા ‘રેમ્બ્રા’ તેમના પ્રિય ચિત્રકાર છે. ચિત્રકાર ‘રેમ્બ્રા’એ વહેતો પ્રકાશ અને શેડો(અંધકાર)માંથી બહાર આવતા અદભુત ચિત્રો સર્જ્યા છે. શેડોમાં કામ કરવું એ કઠિન કાર્ય હોવા છતાં, આ કલાકારે તે સિદ્ધ કરી બતાવ્યું છે.
